Buildings Custodian Employment Opportunity

The Town of Lyndeborough is seeking applications for a part-time buildings custodian.

Essential Duties:  Clean building/office interiors: sweep, mop, and/or vacuum floors; clean entrance door windows; dust surfaces, change light bulbs; responsible for cleaning kitchenette, restrooms, and small event rooms; emptying of trash. Additionally, employee may be required to perform other related work as required.

Minimum Requirements: Any training or experience which would demonstrate an ability to perform the work. Must be at least 18 years old to apply.

Hours: Approximately 5 hours per week, hours could be flexible for the right fit. 

Selection Factors: Knowledge of safety principles as they relate to the work. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, work in busy environments, and maintain effective working relationships with staff and co-workers.

Physical/Environmental Factors: Work requires manual and physical labor, bending, climbing ladders, light lifting, and periodic exposure to adverse weather conditions, caustic chemicals and cleaners, and other varied physical activities associated with performing the essential duties of the job.

Screening: Based on meeting the minimum requirements and job-related experience, skills, knowledge, and education. Selection may be based largely upon an oral interview. Criminal background checks required. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal.
