Residential Energy Code Certification Applications

The 2018 IECC is part of the NH State Building Code adopted by the NH Legislature on July 1, 2022, via House Bill 1681. 

A Letter to Municipal Officials: Revisions to the Energy Code Resulting from HB1472 (2018)

Code amendments can be viewed at the New Hampshire Building Code Review Board.

Codebooks may be purchased from the International Code Council.

Energy Code training workshops are periodically scheduled in New Hampshire. Visit https://nhsaves.com/events/ to see if there are any upcoming workshops.


If the municipality is included on the list below, please continue to submit the EC-1 form to the Department of Energy for approval. For all municipalities which are not on this list, please contact your local building or code enforcement official and do not submit an EC-1 form to the Department of Energy.
